Bio

Dr. Aleksandra Lezgovko is an Associate Professor at Vilnius University Business School and the Founder and Director of the Insurance and Risk Management Institute. With over 20 years of experience in developing and delivering professional and academic programs, she works at the intersection of enterprise risk management (ERM), insurance strategies, compliance systems, and practical decision-making. At the Institute, she leads two specialized educational branches: the Insurance School and the Risk Management School, both of which serve a wide spectrum of professionals – from recent graduates to experienced CFOs, ESG leaders, internal auditors, public sector representatives, and entrepreneurs. Dr. Lezgovko teaches undergraduate and graduate-level courses in insurance, enterprise risk management, and business continuity. Her educational philosophy focuses on making complex risk concepts applicable in real organizational contexts. She is the author of 29 peer-reviewed publications and several practical guides in the fields of insurance, reinsurance, and risk management. Her work supports the advancement of a risk-aware culture and capacity-building across sectors in the Baltic region.
